My Sigma Make Me Cool Brush Kit Reviews

You don't know how excited I was since I got this babies in my hand after all. The Sigma beauty Make Me Cool Collection which I've been dreamin' to have ages ago, and so yah, finally  here I am sharing my thoughts with you.   This collection has five beautiful  colors to choose from. I got the Aqua blue color in Make Me Cool made of natural bristles.  The other gorgeous colors are Coral Pink Make Me Blush (natural bristles)   ,  Purple Make Me Crazy (natural Bristles),  Baby blue Mrs Bunny( synthetic bristles)  and black the Mr. Bunny Collection (synthetic bristles).

The Make Me Cool Essential kit was specially designed for a fun yet functional makeup application. This kit contains twelve colorful brushes from the best-selling Essential Kit of Sigma. The brushes come in an innovative and functional container that turns into two brush holders to keep you stylish and  organized.

Here are the the photos and the product descriptions  of each brushes and my thoughts about them:

Concealer F70 - The rounded, tapered, flat shape makes this brush ideal to conceal the under eye area. It is also recommended for a precise application in small areas.Synthetics bristles.

I find this brush quite  too small to conceal my under my eye area, cause I get used to using my Sigma P82  on  concealing the imperfections on my face especially underneath my  eyes. I use this as a  cream shadow applicator instead or concealing small dark spots on my face.

Pencil   E30- Precise application of color on the crease, outer corner, and upper and lower lash line. Also ideal to smudge put pencil liner. Natural bristles

One of my favorite brush from the set.I use this for smudging the pencil liner both on my upper and lower lash line. It helps me to apply  color on the crease and the outer corner of my eyes for creating smokey eye look too.

Eye liner E05- An extra-fine tipped synthetic fiber brush that delivers a precise, firm, even stroke to line the eyes.Synthetic bristles.

This brush is best to apply with gel liners. It helps  me to achieve a precise winged line evenly.

Medium Angled Shading  E70-  Angled, tapered, flat top.Ideal to apply highlight shades underneath the eyebrow and on the inner corners. It can also be used for a precise application of darker shades on the crease area. Natural Bristles.

This  brush is multi -functional. I used it for applying highlight shades underneath my eyebrow. I have tried it using also to apply  and blend the dark shades on my crease . Great to use for  contouring my nose as well. Happy face for this:)

Eye Shading E55-Soft and dense with a rounded finish. Can be used to apply pressed or loose eye shadows and pigments.Ideal to build intense color on the eyelid.Natural bristles

I  haven't tried it yet on loose powders but it works pretty well on applying   pressed shadows.

Small Angle E65- Essential for the application of gel or cream eyeliner on the upper and lower lash line. This brush is also excellent for filling out  the eyebrows. Synthetic bristles.

I have tried it using both for filling out my eyebrows and applying my gel liners on the upper and lower lash line and works like heaven! I'm impressed with the performance of this little brush. It delivers a flawless and precise application both for my eyebrows and upper & lower lash line

Duo Fibre F50- Specially designed to generate an airbrushed finish when used to apply liquid foundation. It can also be used to apply blush, highlight shades  and loose pigments. Blend of synthetic and natural bristles.

I love the versatility use of this brush. Can be use for liquid foundation, highlight shades, apply blush and loose pigments. However, I prefer to use this more to apply my loose powder , my blush and highlighting.  I'm contented and so happy to use my
Round Kabuki F82  for applying my liquid foundation. But I've heard some raves from other beauty buddies that it gives you a nice air brushed look as well when use as a foundation applicator. Hmm might try it next time;)

Large Powder Brush F30- Very dense with a rounded top.Ideal to apply powder products on face and body. Natural bristles.

Hmm, honestly, I'm not much happy with this brush, yes it's really dense but it  sheds  a bit. I have first noticed it on the first time that I've washed it. But the more I use it, shedding issues has toned down . Probably because its  overly dense and it was an excess of the hair bristles.  It works both for loose or pressed powders.

Large Angled Contour F40-  The angled shape makes this brush ideal to apply blush or contour shades.Natural bristles.

This is nice, works well on contouring and applying blush as well. The shedding issue is minimal but does the  job pretty well.

Foundation Brush F60- Can be used to apply liquid or cream foundation. It is also recommended to apply moisturizers and conceal large areas.Synthetic bristles.

Since I have my F82 for  applying my liquid foundation, I used this brush as a concealer instead. I might try in  applying foundation as well . It's soft and made of synthetic bristles.

Large Shader E60- Flat shape is ideal for application of cream formulas and eye shadow primers. It also works great with loose eye shadows or pigments. Can be used to apply color all over the lid or precisely on the lash line.Natural bristles.

Hmm, best to use as an eye shadow primer I 'd say. Haven't tried using in loose pigments though but I think it' ll be great to use for that cause it's quite large and dense perfect to hold the pigments to pat onto the eyelids.
Tapered Blending E40- Rounded and tapered top.Specially designed to apply and blend color on the crease. Natural bristles.

This brush is too big for my eyes to use for  blending  color on my crease. So I'd rather use this to apply highlighters on my cheeks, brow bones and nose bridge. No shedding experience  with it so :)I am using by the way either my MAC 217 or Sigma E25 for blending the colors on my crease. And it works  both pretty well.

And this is my FREE GIFT which I received from purchasing this brush  kit. A trio eye shadow color  from Dare Bare flare Eye shadow palette . I've swatched them and the  colors are so pretty  pigmented and yes  stays long as well without any creasing .

MY OVERALL THOUGHTS:

It took me quite some time to decide which sets I would get from this collection at first. I prefer to choose the Synthetic bristles ones  at first cause I know Synthethic ones are much softer than the natural bristles ones,  but when it comes to picking up the powder color performance ,  natural bristles are more good on that based from what I've read from other's reviews about the difference of the two. While the synthetic ones are good to use for liquid  or cream types . And I really vouch on that cause I've been using my
synthetic kabuki kits for quite a long time and I'm so in love with it. Super soft and creates a really flawless application.

So far, yes I'm enjoying using this tool kit.  Its really an essential kit you must have especially if you are a makeup beginner. The individual brushes has its own use and helps you to create your desire look  effortlessly.  My favorite from this kit includes  the E65, E30, E60, E55, E70, F40, F50  F60 and the E05.  I love the canister, it allows you to place the brushes separately and you can actually bring it along with you when you travel without deforming  the shape of it. It may be quite steep if you're on a tight budget, but if you will try to do the maths, you'll get 12pcs of the brush plus a canister,  not bad at all. And yes most importantly the quality of it is worth it. This will probably lasted for years if given a proper care.

You can get this brush kit from Sigma's website for $109.  Sigma has a monthly 10% coupon code as well which I love. If you're planning to purchase this month, dont forget to use the code SB2012 to redeem your 10% Off when you check out.   They also includes FREE GIFT when you purchase $30 or above.
